Software guide

App keeps crashing.

A single app crash is often different from a whole-device stability problem. Isolate the issue before resetting anything.

Before you begin: Stop if you see battery swelling, smoke, liquid inside the device, burning smells, exposed electrical parts or severe physical damage.

Work through these checks in order

1. Confirm whether it is one app

Open other apps. If many apps fail, storage, system software or device-wide conditions may be involved.

2. Restart and update

Restart the device, then check for normal app and operating-system updates.

3. Check available storage

Very low free space can cause update failures and unstable app behavior.

4. Review recent changes

A new login, permission change, VPN, keyboard, accessibility service or beta update can affect an app.

5. Reinstall only when data is safe

Some apps store local data that is removed during uninstall. Verify cloud sync or backups before reinstalling.

Before an erase, restore or repair decision

Confirm what data is backed up, what a reset or restore will remove, and whether you still need access to account credentials or authentication methods stored on the device.

When professional service makes sense

Hardware damage, repeated power failure, liquid exposure, battery swelling, damaged ports, broken displays and problems that persist after low-risk software checks can require qualified inspection.
